Design HELP!

Ok. This blog thing is not as easy as it looks. Or, I am missing something completely! I am hoping to win some help from Heather - the author and genius behind the blog called My Frugal Family where she posts about frugality (and LOTS of cute, inexpensive crafts!).
My goal is to have this blog set up so that I can simply post to it occasionally as the craft/family/whatever bug strikes... So far, I can't get past the layout... :( Ho hum!
